Arturia AudioFuse Studio Rev2 – The Whole Studio, One Desktop Hub

The Arturia AudioFuse Studio Rev2 is built for the producer whose studio has outgrown a two-input box: four DiscretePRO® preamps, eight analog inputs, a monitoring section with real switching, and enough digital I/O to keep the outboard permanently patched. It is the interface you buy once and stop thinking about — which is exactly why Soundium keeps the AudioFuse line in the catalogue.

Key Features

  • Four DiscretePRO® preamps: 78 dB of gain range, −129 dBu EIN and 119 dB dynamic range for ribbons, dynamics and quiet sources alike
  • Eight analog inputs: 4 mic/line/instrument channels plus 4 line inputs, with 5–6 switchable to a built-in RIAA phono stage
  • 24-bit / 192 kHz conversion: Latest-generation AD/DA on every channel, in and out of the DAW
  • Real monitor control: Two balanced TRS speaker pairs with integrated switching, plus two fully independent headphone channels
  • Inserts and reamping: Four analog inserts on channels 1–4 and two instrument-level aux outputs for reamping guitars
  • Upgraded Bluetooth® receiver: AAC, aptX™, aptX™ HD and aptX™ Low Latency — record a phone or laptop source straight in

Customer Benefits

Everything that usually needs a rack lives in one metal desktop chassis. Synths and outboard stay wired to the rear line inputs, so a session starts with a keystroke instead of a repatch. The inserts let hardware compression sit in front of the converters. ADAT, S/PDIF, Word Clock and MIDI mean the interface grows with the room rather than capping it. And with two speaker sets on tap, checking how a mix translates is a button press, not a cable swap — the kind of small friction that decides whether a mix gets finished.

What Changed in Rev2

Rev2 is a refinement of a proven design rather than a new generation. The DiscretePRO® preamps have been optimized, gain range is quoted at 78 dB, and the Bluetooth® module is new — now covering aptX™ HD and aptX™ Low Latency. The AudioFuse Control Center 2.5.0 ecosystem update adds preset import/export, new clock management, enhanced output routing and digital speaker support. I/O count, chassis and software bundle carry over unchanged.

Use Cases / Ideal For

Hybrid studios that track live drums or full bands; producers running a permanent synth and outboard rig; engineers who need two speaker sets and two headphone mixes from one box; anyone digitising a vinyl collection through a proper RIAA stage.

Compatibility

Compatible with macOS and Windows over USB-C (USB 2.0 class compliant), any ADAT or S/PDIF expander such as the AudioFuse X8 IN and X8 OUT, and every major DAW. Bundled AudioFuse Creative Suite runs as VST/VST3, AU and AAX.

Pros & Cons

✅ Pros:

  • Four genuinely high-end preamps, not two good ones and two afterthoughts
  • Monitor switching, dual headphone channels and inserts usually found only in rack gear
  • RIAA phono stage and Bluetooth® receiver widen it beyond a tracking interface
  • Deep software bundle included, with free firmware and Control Center updates

⚠️ Cons:

  • USB 2.0 rather than USB 3 or Thunderbolt
  • ADAT tops out at 96 kHz, so high-rate expansion halves the channel count
  • Desktop chassis — no rack ears in the box

If a single box has to be the centre of the room, the AudioFuse Studio Rev2 is the version of that idea Arturia has now had two goes at getting right. Order it from Soundium and our team can help match it to the monitors, preamps and expanders already on your desk.
